Cindy Miller McNeill - In honor of my sister, Karen Miller Steinhart!
In honor of my sister, Karen Steinhart, and in memory of my cousin, Janney Miller, as well as in honor/memory of relatives/friends/patients, I’m proud to be a part of this team!
In June 2021, after nine years as an emergency room nurse, I transferred to University Breast Health as the Imaging Nurse Navigator. In February, a few days prior to my scheduled interview for this new position, my sister-rock called me and said, “You are NOT going to believe this! I have breast cancer!” What???
So before I began my official role with breast health, I experienced first-hand a patient’s breast cancer journey with my sister! I have learned more than I could’ve ever imagined about breast health! I have met and guided well over 100 phenomenal women and men facing breast biopsies in 3.5 months!
Today my goal is to raise life-saving donations supporting University Hospital’s Randy W. Cooper, M.D., Center for Breast Health Services and the Women’s Wellness on Wheels mobile mammography unit which provides life-saving screening mammograms to women in our community regardless of their ability to pay! I also love the fact that 100% of donations from the Miracle Mile Drive will stay in OUR COMMUNITY!
Would you support our team in honor or in memory of those you personally know affected by breast cancer? Thank you!
