Crushing Cancer with Christie
Hey everyone! Can’t believe it’s been a year since we all rallied together to support that sweet smiling face in that photo above.
So where are we today??
The news we all hoped we wouldn’t hear last year did in fact become a reality. An aggressive approach was needed and an aggressive approach is what she hit HEAD ON! 6 rounds of chemo followed by 28 rounds of radiation, and just a couple of weeks ago she wrapped up a year of targeted therapy. Doctors believe they may have successfully removed everything, but have suggested one more year of oral chemo. Which she starts in September. So we are celebrating this as a win & hope you’ll join us in celebrating too. This is an event she holds very dear to her heart!!
The Miracle Mile Walk supports University Hospital’s Randy W. Cooper, M.D., Center for Breast Health Services and Mobile Mammography Unit, which provide life-saving screenings to women in our community regardless of their ability to pay. No woman is ever turned away from the mobile unit! On behalf of University Health Care Foundation, and the patients whose lives are saved and myself, thank you for your partnership. Even if you can’t walk with us, you can support us every step of the way!
We encourage you to donate, sign up and get in on the fun! Thank you so much and no amount is too small! We love you Christie!!
